Wind chill values of -40 to -45 are expected this morning across southern Saskatchewan. According to Environment Canada, the extreme cold will moderate today. Tonight will be a different story, with wind chill values near -40 forecasted to return over portions of eastern and southeastern Saskatchewan.

Be advised to dress warmly and cover skin.  With the wind chill frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin.

Also, keep emergency supplies in your vehicle such as extra blankets and jumper cables.

Remember, if it’s too cold for you to stay outside, it’s too cold for your pet to stay outside. Our pets feel the cold as well!
