The 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games begin in only three days in Estevan. Team South West was making some of its final preparations on Sunday when they held their pep rally in Swift Current for the 225 athletes from Swift Current, Moose Jaw, and the surrounding areas.
16 sports will be featured at the Saskatchewan Summer Games, beginning with archery, athletics, baseball, basketball, golf, female soccer, and triathlon during the opening half from Sunday until Wednesday. The second half will feature canoe/kayak, equestrian, male soccer, softball, swimming, special Olympics swimming, tennis, and volleyball from Wednesday until Saturday.
