Do you know about Kenny’s Corner at Supreme Source For Sports? Well, if you’ve had skates sharpened or a bicycle repaired, that is probably where you had the work done and Ken was the “the guy”.
Ken Besharah has been a fixture there for many years, even going back to the days when it was owned by Gary Thalheimer and in the building where Hard Core Fitness is now.
Ken started doing some welding at Beline after he finished school. After that was doing some farming with his brother Jim and then got into retail working at Staples Men’s Wear. He also had a spraying business for about 13 years, so you can see he’s a pretty rounded kind of guy!
He loves the sports business and meeting all kinds of people and making many friends along the way. That’s what happens when you spend 37 years in retail. His PR skills have helped to make him a popular guy who is easy to talk to and has many repeat clients, not just from Kindersley but also the surrounding communities because he is trusted and a straight shooter. His knowledge of sporting equipment is second to none.
Nowadays he works only 3 days a week as he prepares for retirement. He and his wife Candace, who was a teacher and Vice-Principal (recently retired) love to travel and do so as often as they can.
