Extreme Cold Warning

Extremely cold wind chill values of minus 40 to minus 50 are occurring this morning in the R.M. of Kindersley including: Kindersley Brock and Flaxcombe. The extreme cold warning is scheduled to end around 9 pm tonight, but watch here for further updates.

A period of extreme cold values will continue through the week during the overnight and early morning periods.

The extreme cold is expected to moderate by the weekend.

Remeber, extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
