The SJHL Power Rankings are decided each and every week by a group of SJHL broadcasters and will be released each Tuesday.

Flin Flon Bombers 18-1-1-0 (Last Week 1st): It was another perfect week for the Flin Flon Bombers as they swept their two games at the SJHL Showcase in dominant fashion and then proceeded to sweep their two games against the Humboldt Broncos at home. Justin Lies found the back of the net six times in four games and Harmon Laser-Hume allowed just four goals in three starts as the number one team in the CJHL (according to the Top 20 rankings) continues to roll. Flin Flon will be in the Parkland region for three in three this weekend as they face the Terriers twice and the Millionaires.
Battlefords North Stars 16-6-0-1 (Last Week 3rd): The hottest team in the SJHL is the defending Canterra Seeds Cup champions. The North Stars have now won 10 in a row as they won both of their games at the SJHL Showcase and earned two wins on the road in La Ronge. Battlefords will look to extend the winning streak on Wednesday when they visit the Melfort Mustangs and then have a home and home with Nipawin this weekend.
Humboldt Broncos 13-4-2-1 (Last Week 2nd): It was a tough week for the Humboldt Broncos who have now lost three straight. After giving up a two goal lead in the 3rd period against the Melville Millionaires to close out the Showcase, they would fall in back to back games in Flin Flon. However, they played well. They just didn’t get the results they were looking for. The good news is they will get an opportunity to bounce back quickly as they visit the Weyburn Red Wings Tuesday. They will then play a home and home with Melfort this weekend.
Melfort Mustangs 13-7-2-0 (Last Week 4th): The up and down roller coaster ride that is the Melfort Mustangs continued this week as they went 2-2 between the Showcase and their two home games on the weekend. However, thanks to their great start to the season they currently sit comfortably in 4th place in the SJHL. With that being said, this week will be a tough one for the Mustangs as they meet Battlefords Wednesday at home and then play Humboldt twice on the weekend.
Kindersley Klippers 9-9-2-2 (Last Week 6th): The busiest team this past week was the Kindersley Klippers, who played five games in six days. They came out of the busy stretch with seven out of a possible 10 points, and both games they lost were by a goal. Now Kindersley will return to the friendly confines of the West Central Events Centre this week for a pair of games against the La Ronge Ice Wolves, who they beat at the SJHL Showcase 4-2.
Nipawin Hawks 11-11-0-1 (Last Week 7th): Four out of a possible six points this past week for the Nipawin Hawks as they split their two games at the SJHL Showcase and then earned a hard fought 2-1 win on the road in Melfort. The Hawks are hoping that victory will build momentum for the club as they head to Melville to face the Millionaires on Tuesday. They will then play the Battlefords North Stars in a home and home this weekend.
Melville Millionaires 11-9-0-0 (Last Week 9th): After letting a 3rd period lead slip through their grasp in their first game of the SJHL Showcase, the Melville Millionaires turned the tables on the Humboldt Broncos the next morning, coming back from a 4-2 deficit to win 5-4. They would then build off that victory with an 8-6 win over Estevan at home Saturday. The Mills will remain at home this week as they host Nipawin Tuesday and Flin Flon on Saturday.
Weyburn Red Wings 9-7-0-4 (Last Week 8th): Following two lopsided losses at the SJHL Showcase, the Weyburn Red Wings returned home Friday and held on for a 6-5 win over the Kindersley Klippers. They continue to be right in the middle of a fight in the Viterra division where all four teams are separated by four points. The Wings will host Humboldt Tuesday, battle Notre Dame in Radville Friday, and then head to Estevan on Saturday.
Estevan Bruins 9-9-0-2 (Last Week 5th): From a five game winning streak to a three game losing skid. It’s amazing how one week can change the momentum of a team. Two tough losses at the SJHL Showcase for the Bruins and then got down early to Melville Saturday which resulted in their 3rd straight loss. The good news for Estevan is they return home this week as they host Notre Dame Wednesday afternoon and then host their Highway 39 rivals, the Weyburn Red Wings Saturday.
Yorkton Terriers 8-11-1-1 (Last Week 10th): The Yorkton Terriers have got themselves right back in the mix in the Viterra division and for a playoff spot thanks to their play over the last two weeks. Saturday they had their four game winning streak snapped at the hands of the Melfort Mustangs, but now the Terriers will get to return home this week where they will welcome the Flin Flon Bombers for a pair of games.
Notre Dame Hounds 6-15-1-0 (Last Week 12th): A 1-3 record for the Notre Dame Hounds this past week and as a result the Hounds are starting to fall behind when it comes to the chase for the 8th and final playoff spot. However, they can make up some ground this week with games against both the Estevan Bruins and Weyburn Red Wings who are both ahead of them. Friday’s game against Weyburn will be played in Radville.
La Ronge Ice Wolves 5-15-2-1 (Last Week 11th): The La Ronge Ice Wolves continue to search for answers. Two losses at the Showcase and two losses at home to Battlefords (one in overtime) this week and similar to the Hounds are falling behind the playoff line. The Ice Wolves will be on the road this weekend in Kindersley for a pair of games against the Klippers.
