Klippers VS Humboldt

Winning breeds winning and confidence. The 2023 Kindersley Klippers have gotten 5 points in the last 3 games and know what it takes to get them, so when the Humboldt Broncos came the “The Hangar” on Friday, November 10th, they knew what had to be done. Humboldt had beaten us twice already this year and had not surrendered a regulation loss. Until Friday. Final score was 5 to 4 for the hometown hero’s.

Even though the Broncos scored the 1st goal, the Klippers never gave up and kept pounding away and scored the final goal with Austin Osiowy potting the winner (on a power play no less) with 4:56 left in the 3rd period. In between it was a back and forth affair with each team taking turns scoring and grinding. A real bright spot for the Broncos was Travis Bryson who scored 3 goals and was a threat whenever he was on the ice. Klipper netminder, Logan “Falker” Falk, brought his “A” game and turned away many high quality scoring chances.

Shots on goal were 37 to 29 in favour of the Broncos. Kindersley took 5 penalties compared to 7 for Humboldt. Next Klippers home games are Friday November 24th and Saturday the 25th when the LaRonge Ice Wolves make an appearance at the West Central Events Centre.
