The Good to Go Trucking bantam Klippers tried to gain some ground in the league standings this weekend with 2 games starting Friday night in Macklin.

The Klippers got off to a slow start, unable to score in the first they had to wait until the second period before Rhett Dimitroff put one in. Chase Oomen followed up with another 3 minutes later but the Klippers gave up several to go down by five in to the second intermission. Charley Fleming would add another in the third but the Klippers were overpowered by Macklin and lose 10 – 3.

Saturday the Klippers looked to tighten things up defensively as they took on the visiting Rosetown Redwings. The Redwings would strike first before Jace Reichert tied it up with a redirection in front of the net. The Klippers were down by two going into the third before Coen Garntner got one back. The Klippers pressed hard with the goalie pulled but couldn’t tie it up, Klippers lose 3 – 2.
