Kindersley CAO Bernie Morton will look to win the nomination for the Conservative representative in the upcoming Battlefords-Lloydminster by-election.

The seat recently vacated by Gerry Ritz, the former Agriculture Minister, who resigned on October 2nd, will be decided on December 11th and is one of four federal by-elections set to be decided that day.

Bernie Morton said “For over 25 years I have been a proud and diligent member and supporter of the Conservative Party of Canada, our merger as a Party, and the principals for which we stand. I have decided to put my vast experience in government, public affairs, communications to work in a new public servant capacity, as the Member of Parliament for the Battlefords Lloydminster riding. I am battle ready for an election to defeat Justin Trudeau. He has to go. I have public and private sector experience, and a deep understanding the mechanics of federal government, to make the government work better for all of us in west central Saskatchewan. I would be honoured to represent our constituents as their next Member of Parliament.”

Bernies Policies are as follows:

NO to a carbon tax.

NO to Trudeau/Morneau job and farm killing small biz tax.

NO to the poorly thought out legalization of cannabis and the negative impacts to local communities who will have to deal with the fallout.

NO to ballooning and no-end-in-sight deficits and crippling debt.

Bernie Morton and Steven Harper

YES for balanced budgets.

YES to investments for infrastructure and roads.

YES to pipelines that deliver our natural resource to more Canadians instead of importing foreign oil.

YES to closing the public disclosure and blind trust loopholes being exploited by certain Cabinet Ministers.

YES to the Canada-EU (CETA) Free Trade Agreement.

YES to a newly negotiated NAFTA agreement which is at risk because of negotiation breakdowns.

YES to urgently needed federal regulatory changes that will minimize red tape and costs, and maximize decision making. We currently are at risk for lower standards of living, increased taxes and debt.
