Saskatchewan Phone Scam Currently Circulating

The Saskatchewan RCMP wishes to make the public aware that there is currently a phone scam circulating.

During the call, the caller claims to be from a police agency and will request your personal information, such as a social insurance Number. Please know, the police will not phone you to ask for your social insurance number.

If you receive a call like this, DO NOT give these details to the caller even if the phone number appears legitimate (such as “RCMP” appearing on call display)–this is a scam.

If you’ve received a call similar to this, please report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
