After living with Parkinson’s for over 14 years the Super Walk has become a big part of Nancy Kelly’s life. Each year she fundraises for further education, advocacy, research, and hopefully a cure! All support fuels innovative, discovery research that holds the key to unlocking the mysteries of Parkinson’s disease.
With a personal total of over $12,000.00, Nancy was the top fundraiser in Saskatchewan again. National totals are still being processed, but last year She was the 9th highest fundraiser in Canada thanks to the phenomenal support that Nancy received. Saskatchewan raised over $125,000.00 helping Canada break their goal of raising 2 million for research and hitting 2.4 million nationally.
Nancy extended her thanks to supporters, “I would like to thank all the readers in the West Central Area for there continued support & pledges for the Parkinson’s Super Walk. With over 25 people being diagnosed daily, it is amazing the number of families that are affected by Parkinson’s and everyone is hopeful for a cure!”
Nancy facilitates a local support group that meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 2 p.m. in the Kindersley Hospital and if you or anyone you know would like to join please come out, or give Nancy a call @ 306- 463-4514 as it is always better with a friend!
