Extreme Wind Chills for Kindersley and Area
Extreme Cold Warning Issued
Residents of Kindersley and area can expect shivering wind chill values today as winter tightens its grip across the province.
With wind chill values of -40C in Kindersley this morning there is risk of frostbite to exposed skin in minutes.
Please remember to dress warmly, if you dress in layers you can always remove a layer if you get too warm. The outer layer should be wind resistant. Remember to keep dry and cover up your skin to prevent frostbite.
If it’s too cold for you to stay outside, it’s too cold for your pet to stay outside.
The wind chill is expected to moderate to -25C this afternoon with some sunshine.
The temperature is expected to warm slightly on Saturday and Sunday but nest week the temperatures could remain -24 or colder.
