Council Meeting Highlights

Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, October 15th. Resolutions regarding a paving change order, the Community Grant Program, and a Heliport Feasibility Study were made.

Council accepted Change Order #1 related to the previously awarded 2019 Road Construction Contract Agreement between the Town of Kindersley and Mobile Paving Ltd. The change order will increase the Colton Drive and Railway

Avenue Road Construction to include 3,300sq.m. of the Ditson Drive paving project.

Successful applicants from the Community Grant Program 2019 Fall Intake include: Prairie West Growing Project, Kindersley and District Chamber of Commerce, Kindersley Library Board, Kindersley Players, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 57, Kindersley Screen Arts, and Kindersley Antique Threshing Club.

Council resolved to distribute funds not to exceed $5,000 plus applicable taxes to complete a Heliport Feasibility Study by AVIOTEC International, and that the funds be considered part of the Community Grant Program, Fall 2019.

The list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley was accepted in the amount of $2,327,996.98.

October 21 to 27, 2019 was proclaimed as Waste Reduction Week in the Town of Kindersley. Council encourages residents to join them in leading our community toward environmental sustainability.

The Consent Agenda was approved including the following: Correspondence for Acceptance and Filing (Stantec – Firehall Progress Report, RCMP Kindersley – August 2019 Statistics, RCMP Kindersley – September 2019 Statistics, SaskWater – September 2019 Monthly Report.
