Kindersley RCMP Arrest Six Individuals Involved in Theft of Motor Vehicles in Eston

On Monday, November 16, 2020, at approximately 3:46 p.m., Kindersley RCMP responded to the report of a theft of a truck from Eston, SK.

Initial investigation by police revealed the driver of the stolen truck allegedly hit a member of the public with the truck before driving into a ditch. Upon arrival at the scene, Kindersley RCMP were able to take the two occupants of the truck into custody, without incident.

Prior to the RCMP’s arrival on scene, a member of the public observed a black truck, which was also believed to be stolen, attempting to pick up the same two males that police arrested. The black truck fled from the scene as soon as police arrived.

An alert was sent locally by the RCMP containing details of the suspect vehicle involved and requested assistance from the public to help locate the suspect vehicle.

A member of the public spotted a vehicle matching the description of the black truck, stopped in Kindersley and called the RCMP. Kindersley RCMP responded immediately and attempted to approach the vehicle, but the vehicle fled. A pursuit was not initiated at the time for public safety reasons.

The black truck was located on Highway 21 north of Kindersley with extensive damage and carrying four occupants. Upon police arrival, the four occupants of the truck attempted to flee from police on foot. Kindersley RCMP were able to take all four occupants into custody without incident. All four occupants are believed to be involved in a series of thefts from the Eston area earlier that day.
