The accused, Darren Paulson appeared in Provincial Court in Saskatoon today and was remanded until his next court appearance, June 19 2018
On June 10/18 at approximately 10:35 pm, Kindersley RCMP were called to a break, enter and assault at a residence located in a business yard, North of Kindersley.
Upon arrival, police learned that an adult male had entered the residence where he was confronted by a resident of the house. The suspect had left the scene and was later located at a local hospital where he received treatment for injuries sustained during the confrontation with the resident. The 50 year old male from Alberta was later remanded and will appear in court on Friday, June 15/18 in Saskatoon on the following charges –
• Assault with a Weapon, Sec. 267 (a) C.C.
• Break and Enter, Sec. 348(1)(b) C.C.
• Disguised with Intent to Commit an Offence, Sec. 351(2) C.C.
• Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Sec 88(2) C.C.
• Fail to Comply with a Probation Order, Sec. 733.1(1) C.C.
For investigational reasons, RCMP are not identifying the accused at this time. It was determined that this was not a random act. The resident of the house received minor injuries that did not require medical treatment.
