Mayor Rod Perkins Declares Multicultural Week in Kindersley

Mayor Rod Perkins has declared November 21st to 29th, 2020, as Saskatchewan Multicultural Week in the Town of Kindersley, with the theme being “Building Equitable and Inclusive Communities.”

The main areas multiculturalism week will focus on is cultural continuity, the celebration of diversity, anti-racism, intercultural connections, and integration.

Residents are encouraged to visit the website mcos.ca where they can learn more about the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan (MCoS) which has been raising awareness of the benefits of cultural diversity and the dangers of racism since November 22nd, 1975.

MCoS is a provincial not-for-profit, non-governmental agency that works to ensure ethnocultural survival, strength and prominence and foster opportunities for cross-cultural interaction. Through their website, newsletters, and events residents can find a wealth of information and ways they can participate in helping to share multiculturalism across Canada.
