The Alberta RCMP Serious Crimes Branch have located two sisters from Cochrane who have been missing since March 12th.
Five-year-old Leonine O’Driscoll-Zak and 2-year-old Wyatt O’Driscoll-Zak were located yesterday evening (April 14th) in the Columbia Valley, B.C.
Both children are said to be safe and are being cared for by Children Services. The RCMP say no further details are being provided at this time however additional information is anticipated to be provided later.
The sisters were last seen at approximately 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 12th at the children’s rural home near Cochrane, where their father Colin Zak, who was awarded full custody, was supposed to be pick them up.
It was believed that the girls were taken and kept by their grandmother, 68-year-old Theresa O’Driscoll, and aunt, 38-year-old Alison O’Driscoll. It was thought the two were receiving assistance from others to prevent the children from being found.
The Serious Crimes Branch has currently not provided any information on the whereabouts of Theresa or Alison O’Driscoll.
