Deer Shot and Left to Waste

On November 26, 2023, Assiniboia Conservation Officers received a call of a deer carcass that was dumped and left to waste along a rural road 4 miles east of Lafleche in the Rural Municipality of Wood River No. 74.

Officers attended the scene and located a frozen deer carcass which had been dumped and tied to a fence post along a rural road near Lafleche. The deer had been gutted and skinned out, but all the edible meat was left to waste.

The deer is believed to have been dumped on Saturday, November 25th or Sunday, November 26, 2023.

Officers collected evidence at the scene and continue to investigate but require your assistance.

If anyone observed any unusual or suspicious activity, vehicles, or individuals in the area during this time, it may assist in the investigation.
