The Saskatoon Fire Department says the river is currently flowing at a rate that is four to six times its average speed and is not safe at this time for recreational use.
The Saskatoon Fire Department is warning people to stay off and away from the fast-moving South Saskatchewan River after performing two water rescues on the weekend.
The first rescue happened on Saturday near the Broadway Bridge.
