Special weather Statement in effect for R.M. of Kindersley, including Kindersley Brock and Flaxcombe, R.M. of Oakdale including Coleville, R.M. of Progress including Kerrobert and Luseland, R.M. of Chesterfield including Eatonia and Mantario and R.M. of Snipe Lake including Eston and Plato
Environment Canada released a special weather statement for Kindersley and area due to the forecasted snowy arrival of an Alberta Clipper. Beginning early Wednesday morning, the Alberta Clipper is expected to bring 5-10 cm of snow to central Saskatchewan and is expected to taper off by Wednesday evening.
The highest accumulations of snow in the Western regions are expected between Kindersley and Highway 16. In the Eastern regions the highest accumulations are expected between Highway 1 and Highway 16.
Environment Canada warns of the slight risk of freezing rain over southwestern sections of Highway 1 early Wednesday morning.
Road conditions may become hazardous due to the snow. If you are travelling, please be advised to take your time and drive according to the conditions.
