Stolen Vehicle & Pursuit
On Monday afternoon, July 8, at around 3:00 p.m., Kindersley RCMP received information of a stolen vehicle from Saskatoon heading West on Highway 7 in the direction of Kindersley. According to the report, the Jaguar was stolen and the owner had been assaulted with bear mace at the time of theft. The stolen vehicle was spotted in Rosetown but the driver managed to evade police.
Kindersley and Kerrobert RCMP were able to locate the Jaguar traveling at a high speed on Highway 7 near the village of Darcy. Police attempts to stop the vehicle were unsuccessful, resulting in a pursuit. A spike belt was successfully deployed near Kindersley and the vehicle finally came to a stop shortly after driving over the spike belt.
Three females and one male were taken into custody. The male, Levi Chudyk, 19 years old from Alberta was charged with 2 counts of possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, 2 counts of possession of property obtained by crime, flight from police officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fail to comply with probation order, and 5 counts of failing to comply with conditions of undertaking.
The females, Alysha Machiskinic, aged 19, Amber Machiskinic, aged 20 and Teri Machiskinic, aged 21, from Saskatchewan, were all charged with possession of weapon for dangerous purpose and possession of property obtained by crime. Teri Machiskinic was also charged with failing to comply with a condition of her undertaking.
All suspects were remanded for court in Saskatoon and will be appearing in court this morning for a show-cause hearing.
