Town Commits to Hiring Locally for Next Census

The Town of Kindersley would like to remind residents that Canada’s next Census of Population will take place in May 2021, and in preparation for this, Statistics Canada will be hiring across the country.

In the current context of COVID-19, the town is committed to hiring locally and ensuring the safety of employees and community members at all times.

Census information is used to make informed decisions about communities, provinces or territories, and the country as a whole. With things being a little different this year, Statistics Canada is aware that COVID-19 may impact the way Canadians answer some of the census questions, including those on employment, education, commuting and expenditures. For this reason, they are developing helpful guidelines to assist Canadians in their responses to these specific questions.
