Fire ban Effective Immediately
Due to dry conditions in the area, the Town of Kindersley declared a Fire Ban today (April 17th).
The ban includes all private and public lands within the geographic boundary of the Town of Kindersley. The fire ban is issued for the following:
- all open fires
- all fireworks
- all fire pits
Under the ban some situations are permitted provided they are supervised at all times during use:
- gas and charcoal-briquette barbecues with lids
- chiminea, which are defined as a freestanding front-loading fireplaces or ovens with a bulbous body and usually a vertical smoke vent or chimney.
The fire ban is considered effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.
Should you decide to ignore the ban, you could receive a fine of up to $5000.
The R.M of Kindersley is also under a fire ban.
