Officials said they plan to keep the tradition alive by burying a time capsule of their own.
Construction workers chiselling away at a heritage building in Moncton, N.B., made a surprising discovery during the restoration project: two little copper boxes filled with mementos dating back over a century.
The time capsules are filled with perfectly preserved artifacts — including newspapers, money, postcards and letters — that offer a glimpse into Maritime life in the late 1800s.
