School bus involved, no one on board hurt

A 46-year-old woman who drove into the back of a school bus near Dalmeny, Sask. was rushed to hospital by STARS air ambulance Friday afternoon with serious injuries.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. CST, on the Dalmeny highway about 1.5 kilometres south of that town.

After the collision with the school bus, a pickup truck then struck the woman’s minivan. Firefighters had to extricate her and she was taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, which is about 25 kilometres south of Dalmeny.

Neither the bus driver nor the 10 children on board were hurt.

The people in the pickup truck — a 40-year-old woman and two children — were taken to RUH by ground ambulance. The woman had non-life-threatening injuries, the children’s injuries were described as minor.
