Shooting for Kelowna Nationals in November
The Saskatchewan Travelers Club Champions competition begins Friday evening in Weyburn with 24 teams province-wide striving to be the Men’s and Women’s representatives at the National Competitions. More importantly, the provincial and national Travelers events provide club based teams an opportunity to curl and enjoy the spirit of curling hospitality and fellowship all in the same event. There are several guidelines to ensure that the intent of any team competing is there as a true club team.
The 12 Men’s and Women’s teams are divided into 2 pools of 6 teams for a 5 game round robin. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the semi-finals on Sunday. With no tie-breakers the Provincial championships will be played Sunday at 12:30. Follow all the line scores on the CURLSASK Scoreboard.
The 2016 Travelers Curling Club Championship will be played Nov. 20-26 at the Kelowna Curling Club, featuring 14 men’s and 14 women’s teams from Curling Canada’s Member Associations — the 10 provinces, three territories and Northern Ontario.
