Council tabled a resolution to pursue boundary alterations of portions of land within the Rural Municipality (RM) of Kindersley in order to meet with RM officials to discuss further. The resolution identified that the Town of Kindersley is currently experiencing development pressures of certain lands within the district planning area, and references the Town’s Official Community Plan, which recommends the future alteration of Town limits based on needs and to provide for orderly development of land uses and services.
Councillor Bob McTaggart provided an update on the Cemetery Committee, including the names of the Committee officials and kudos to the cemetery maintenance contractor for the work being done on the grounds.
Deputy Mayor Curtis Sackville provided an update on the Kindersley Food Bank and congratulated local company Iron Horse Energy Services for making a significant contribution to the Food Bank in recent weeks.
Council tabled a request to reduce a resident’s invoiced false fire alarm fees until further correspondence is obtained from the resident’s insurance company.
