A 16-year-old Regina girl was treated for minor injuries early Sunday afternoon after she was struck by a vehicle while she crossed Wascana Parkway towards the University of Regina.
The girl had come from the McDonald’s restaurant on Kramer boulevard, crossing Wascana Parkway on the south side of Kramer in the cross walk, when the 26-year-old male driver attempted to turn southbound from Kramer onto Wascana Parkway.
The incident happened at approximately 1:20 p.m. CST on Sunday afternoon. The girl was taken to Regina General Hospital.
The driver was issued a traffic ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
