Game Story
The Regina Pats defeated the Red Deer Rebels 6-3 on Tuesday night, in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semi Finals. The series is now 2-1 Red Deer with Game 4 tomorrow night at the Brandt Centre. Regina’s six goals each came from a different Pat. Jake Leschyshyn got his first of the playoffs in the opening frame. His goal tied the game at one after the Rebels Jake Debrusk scored the opening marker on the power play. With Red Deer up 2-1 in the second, Regina’s Sam Steel and Lane Zablocki scored to make it 3-2. Before the period was out, Red Deer’s Nelson Nogier tied things up at 3. That’s as close as Red Deer would get. Connor Hobbs scored what turned out to be the game winner mid-way through the third. The Blue and White would got insurance goals form Rykr Cole and the game’s first star Austin Wagner.
