An often forgotten about service is that of flushing the power steering system.
Having the power steering system flushed every 2 years or 38,000 kms. removes and effectively cleans rack-and-pinion power steering units as well as conventional sector arm units.
The steering system is flushed and replenished with new fluid in one operation, without trapping any air within the components. The flush removes particle wear, metal and debris that may corrode valves and system seals.
A power steering service will stop squeal caused by sticking valves, eliminates hard steering in cold temperatures and prevents fluid leaks. It also cleans up sticky turbines and pumps, eliminates power steering noises and whining and conditions and revitalizes seals.
It’s a fairly quick service to perform; usually in about 15 minutes. And benefits “speak” for themselves!
