The University of Regina women’s soccer team’s 2016 Canada West schedule was released on Wednesday, with the Cougars’ season opener set for Sept. 10 at home against the University of the Fraser Valley.
The Cougars will complete their opening weekend with a Sunday match against the visiting Trinity Western Spartans before hitting the road for four consecutive contests.
Winnipeg, Manitoba and provincial-rival Saskatchewan will each square off against the Cougars twice over the course of the Canada West season, with a home-and-home matchup against the Huskies set for Oct. 7 and 9.
