Just Try It event hosted in Swift Current on June 14
An excited group of youth enjoyed trying out a series of wheelchair games at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School gymnasium on June 14.
The Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association hosted a Just Try It Session to introduce children and their families to sports including wheelchair tennis, sledge hockey, wheelchair basketball, and sit-ski for cross country skiing.
“We came out to Swift Current to bring some wheelchair sport equipment out. We knew there were some kids with disabilities out here, and we just want to get something going in Swift Current for kids with disabilities,” explained Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association Executive Director Andrea Muir.
