Orbital ATK’s Space Launch System rocket will launch the Orion Spacecraft on test flight in 2018

NASA will be firing up a booster for the world’s most powerful rocket for its last ground test before it launches the Orion spacecraft on a 2018 test flight.

The two-minute test of the booster for the heavy-lift Space Launch System, built by Dulles, Va.-based Orbital ATK, will take place starting 11:05 a.m. ET at the company’s test facilities in Promontory, Utah.
