The weather proved to be beautiful for Canada Day celebrations in Kindersley last weekend.
Celebrations began at Baker Park with the Colour Guard Ceremony beginning at 11:30 with ‘O’Canada’ and ‘God Save the Queen’ performed by KCS band. A BBQ with Kindersley Cobras along with free pop and ice-cream from the Elks and Masons followed the ceremony. Carnival games with the Kindersley Youth Committee (with profits going towards the new fire hall), along with fun at the spray pad, rounded off the celebrations at Baker Park. The fun started again at the Kindersley and District Plains Museum with bouncy castles, tours and wagon rides, including a BBQ with the Cadets. At dusk, a spectacular display of fireworks at the McEwen ball diamonds brought the celebrations to a close. The Town of Kindersley thanks all the volunteers and participants who made the celebration possible.
