Severe Weather Watch for Kindersley Area on Wednesday

By Kindersley Social, August 10, 2016

We are in for another damp day, with rain and possible severe thunderstorms in the forecast.

It appears that conditions are again favourable for development of severe thunderstorms. Environment Canada has issued a ‘Severe Thunderstorm Watch’ for Kindersley, Rosetown, Biggar, Wilkie and Macklin areas. The forecasted thunderstorms may be capable of strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Again, conditions will be favourable for funnel clouds this afternoon over the western half of the watch area.

The low pressure trough over southeastern Saskatchewan will move slowly eastward this afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms will be forming in the West early this afternoon and will form in the East mid to late afternoon.

Stay safe out there!
