This year has been a blur. I’m looking into the morning darkness and am wondering what has happened to the time. Zoom is the only answer I have. Here are some things that stand out:
- Kindersley won a Saskatchewan Municipal Award – Waste Water Project;

- We won 4 Bloom in the Communities in Bloom Competition;
- Tim Hanna and his family moved to Kindersley so he could assume the responsibilities of the Director of Community Services;
- Brookhollow Estates has now completed Phase 1;
- Enhanced working relationships with the Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Kindersley Association;
- Completion of the new lift station in the Industrial Area and upgrades to the lift station at 7/21
- Opening of Boston Pizza and Canalta Hotel;
- there are other developments going ahead such as Taco Time;
- work to establish the Norm Ritchie Community Centre Management Board;
- a working group to develop the park between Coleman Cres and Hahn Cres;
- who can forget the whirlwind of the CTV Hometown Tour;
- the installation of the aeration system at Motherwell;
- a new Anti-Bullying Bylaw;
- the completion of the Aquatice Centre consultations and final report;
- improvements to the Kindersley Waste and Recycle Centre;
- the technical studies and design elements for the new regional landfill site have been completed;
- there is a new CivicWeb portal so you can access Council minutes, agendas, etc.;
- the Town now has ownership of the PT Hotel land at the corner of Main and Railway along with the Bakery and those lands are for sale per provincial legislation;
- we are working with West Central Abilities so they can develop a new facility;
- progress is being made with the Kindersley Health Services Needs Assessment; and
- there is more that I have forgotten.
