Junior Golf Tournament Leaves Local Youth a “Sweet Taste”

Local youth were involved in a great event this past weekend as the Kindersley Golf Course held a junior golf tournament for ages 6-18.

“The weather was good, a bit windy, but still sunny, and the kids had fun; so overall the weekend was good.” Junior golf coach Rob Cote said that the tournament was designed for local kids in mind, with most of the players from right in Kindersley, and a few from Eston.

This tournament wound up the season for some, while others head on for regionals and finally provincials by the end of the month. Kindersley’s local senior team recently won the regional tournament in Outlook, and will soon head to Estevan for Provincials. The Junior team still awaits their chance for a regional and provincial match up.
