Team SK to Face Badlands Baseball Academy

Baseball lovers have yet one more event to mark their calendars, as a baseball team from Saskatchewan readies to meet the Badgers from the Badlands Base- ball Academy, Oyen AB.

The Badlands Baseball Academy, situated right in Oyen, AB provides high-school stu- dents from all across Canada an excellent education, while training them in the needed skills to become an elite baseball player. Their team, the Badgers, will play teams from all over Canada, such as British Columbia, Manitoba, and of course Alberta. September 30 will be the first time a team from Saskatchewan will host a game with the Badgers.

“We have been asked for a number of years to have a game in Kindersley, now we’re glad to be able to make it happen.” Head Coach Jeff Amos says it will be good experi- ence for both teams involved.

So come on out to Berard Field at noon on Saturday, September 30 to cheer your team on!
