Kindersley Minor Hockey Update

With play-offs and provincial games, the minor hockey teams are flying on both home and away ice. With league, playoff and provincial games, the results come with a mixed bag of emotions.

THE MIDGETS won their provincial game over the Wynyard Monarchs on Saturday, pulling ahead on a tight game ultimately setting the scoreboard at 5-4.  Monday’s game didn’t fare so well, with the Midgets failing to the Monarchs in a resounding 12-1 scoreboard.   The Midgets are off to Regina this weekend to test their mettle in some tournaments.

THE BANTAMS started their week off with another stunning victory over the Melville Millionaires, sliding the puck home no less than 10 times; the team trounced the Millionaires 10-4 in their first provincial game, earning 20 points in their series.  Next, the Bantams are off to Wynyard to test their mettle against the Wynyard Monarchs on Saturday, February 18, at 2:00 p.m.

Kindersley Atoms are also getting ready for more games ahead; the Green Klippers are pumped for their round in provincials against Battleford on both Friday and Saturday. The White Klippers are in the midst of their play-off games with Unity.  Their first game was a great success, carrying the day with a strong 6-3. Their next game will be on Thursday at the WCEC, puck drop 6:30 p.m.

THE KINDERSLEY PEEWEE TIMBERWOLVES didn’t have the results they were hoping for in their Provincial game last Tuesday, ultimately losing the series to the Bruno Flames.  Pulling themselves together, they reclaimed their position in the last league game on Sunday, overwhelming Dinsmore with a final score of 12-3.  Play-offs start for the Timberwolves next weekend.

Here’s to victory for each and every team!
