Gasoline falls to lowest price in decade in Regina, Saskatoon

Many stations selling regular gas for less than 70 cents per litre

In Regina and Saskatoon, gasoline prices have now dropped to their lowest level in at least a decade, according to a popular price-monitoring website.

On Wednesday, the average price of a litre of regular was 69.9 cents in Saskatoon and 71 cents in Regina, GasBuddy.com says.

A month ago, it was about 18 cents higher in both cities.

Some stations are selling gas well below 70 cents. In Saskatoon, Costco is the lowest at 66.9 cents per litre, while Regina Messenger has the lowest price in that city: 64.9 cents per litre.

It means a fill-up that cost $75 a month ago would cost about $60 today.

Gas prices have tumbled along with crude oil prices, which are also at low levels which haven’t been seen in more than a decade.
