Kindersley Ball Teams Glad to Hit the Green

After the snow and rain left puddles in the grass, Kindersley Ball teams were delighted to hit the diamonds for the first time this year on Monday.

“We’ve been practising in the rink for last couple of weeks now,” commented Chad Miller, President of the Minor Ball Association. “So it’s real good to actually get out and enjoy the sunshine. “

With the preliminary practices out of the way, each player has already been assigned to his/her own team, enabling them to focus on building their team strengths out on the actual diamonds.

With over 330 enrolled in this year’s program, the Kindersley diamonds are going to see an overflow of practices and games.  In order to accommodate the large numbers, the Association is using every available diamond they can get. “Doubtless with older diamonds we are going to run into some issues at some point,” noted Miller. “But we are just going to have to take that one day at a time.”
