With winter sports wrapping up for the coming warmer months, Kindersley’s Special Olympic team had a new cause for celebration—bringing home Gold at the Bob Pedde Bowling Tournament.
Held in Saskatoon, the tournament saw athletes from Unity, La Ronge, and from the Kindersley area meeting on the alley floor in a friendly competition.
“All athletes worked hard, and played well, encouraging each other towards better and better shots,” commented Coach Stephen Neiszner. He added that all athletes look forward to events like this as they build self-confidence and also aid in building lasting friendships.
“You come away from an event like this feeling encouraged and glad for everyone who participated,” noted Neiszner. “The athletes are friendly and ready to recognize the hard work of those around them, and of course, you get a feeling of pride as you watch them get recognized for their own.”

In the teams event:
The Kindersley Team earned Gold
The team consisted of Irene S, Coralee C, Rachelle D. Kimo K. and Colton F.
