A Vancouver man says he expected to die after he became lost while hiking and wound up stuck on a ledge for three days.
Alec Winters, 21, set out last Wednesday for a planned three-night hike in Coquitlam, but says he was naïve about the trail conditions and got lost.
While descending the trail, Winters was able to climb down a cliff beside a waterfall, but didn’t realize it led to a ledge and another waterfall.
