We thank-you in advance for your support and for your contribution to these great causes! Geri has been an important fixture on the Eatonia social scene since she moved here over 40 years ago! She has dazzled us on-stage as a member of the Eatonia Oasis Players for 11 years. Previous to that she was well-known for her Elvis impersonations, even having won a contest or two in her day. Besides her acting talents, Geri was also an avid curler, and was a member of the Womens Provincial D Championship ball team in 1977 and 1978. Geri will be dancing with the handsome and talented Clayton Braybrook. Thank-you, thank-you very much Geri, we cannot wait to see how your acting skills play out on the dance floor! Rick has been meeting your glass needs with Speedy Glass in the Kindersley area for almost 25 years. He has recently lent his business expertise to Belron Canada over the last 3 years teaching customer service classes. You may have also heard his unmistakeable voice on your TV screen, where he appeared in a series of nation-wide commercials for Speedy. In his spare-time, Rick can be found at the ball field, where he has been involved as an umpire for 30 years. Rick has a passion for the community and you will often see him out and about taking in different events in the Kindersley area. Rick will be joined on-stage with the lovely Sage Barclay-Rosher. We are hoping that he is throwing all strikes out on the dance floor in the days to come! Devery grew up in the Eston area and has always had a love for agriculture. After leaving for a short time to further his education in Lethbridge, he returned to Eston to partner in the family business and become the Vice President and Sales Manager at Owens and Sweitzer. Devery is active on the Eston Recreation Board, Minor Hockey committee and the Rambler Executive, and his picture can even be found in Eston’s “Gallery of Glory”. Accompanying him on the dance floor is the beautiful Janelle Oliphant. We are excited to see if Devery and Janelle can sell themselves on the dance floor. Curtis is a native of the Kindersley area and has always been an enthusiastic member of the community. His partner for the main event is the stunning Richelle Ortman. Curtis previously served as the deputy Mayor of Kindersley in 2016 and currently sits on several committees including the West Central Oilman’s Association, Kindersley Culture and Recreation Building Fund, Western Regional Landfill Committee, and as a Board member of the Red Lions Hockey Club. Curtis is the Safety and Production Manager at Holland’s Hot Oiling Limited and co-owner of 12th Avenue Fashions. His work claim-to-fame is as a stakeholder in the conception design and management of the Holland’s Back Wash Pond. This project has won 2 provincial awards and one national award for innovation! We look forward to seeing if Curtis can add “Ballroom Blitz Champion” to his list of accolades. You may have heard our next local celebs debut single “Off My Mind” on your local radio waves recently, or perhaps you sang along to his live radio appearance on “Pickin’ it Country” 91.3 Regina. Mitch has been entertaining West Central Saskatchewan and beyond with his group “Mitch Larock and the 454 Band”, for the past 3 years. A highlight of his career happened when he opened for Aaron Pritchett at the Country 104.9 launch party last year. Mitch is no stranger to competition as he previously competed during the Craven Country Jamboree at the Chevy Tailgate Challenge. Mitch is paired up with Leader’s sweetheart, Skye Stimson. Stay tuned to find out if Mitch has what it takes to secure a spot at the top of the dancing leaderboard! Darcy is matched with Eston-turned-Eatonian beauty Jennifer Bews. Darcy has been wreaking havoc in the lives of Huskie hockey fans for many years. He has been a member of the Eston Ramblers Hockey organization for 17 years. During his Rambler career he has been honoured with many awards including Rookie of the Year, SWHL Team All-Star, Top Scorer, as well as Leadership and Heart of the Rambler honours. Darcy has lead the Ramblers to 3 provincial titles and 3 Saskwest hockey titles. Darcy now serves on the Rambler Executive and has taken on coaching duties for the team. His community involvement includes coaching minor hockey and the FirstShift Program. We are all anxious to see if he can extend his winning streak out on to the dance floor! Our next celebrity has been a familiar face, and voice, in local hockey arenas for many many years. Sam is best known in his community for his commitment and dedication to the local hockey rink and hockey programs. Sam has coached the Eatonia Huskie Senior Hockey Team for the past 17 seasons. Previously, he coached in the minor hockey system for 10 years, winning 2 provincial titles. Sam was honoured to be named the RBC local hockey hero of Saskatchewan in 2008 and be featured in the Canadian Hockey Hall of Fame. In 2015, Sam was invited to the “Bobby Orr Celebrity Golf Classic” where he met and golfed with his idol Bobby Orr, fulfilling a lifelong dream. When he is not at the rink, he can be found working on the family farm or auctioneering across the province. His beautiful partner on this journey is Lindsay Larock. We look forward to seeing what happens when this farmer trades in his coveralls for dancing shoes! A special thank-you to all of our amazing sponsors who generously donated to this event.
