University of Regina women’s basketball post Angela Bongomin won a silver medal with Team Canada on Sunday at the 2016 FIBA Americas U18 Championship for Women in Valdivia, Chile.
Canada matched up against a strong United States team in the championship game. Both teams entered the final with unblemished 4-0 records and it was tight through the first quarter, but the USA came away with a 109-62 victory to win the tournament for the eighth consecutive time.
