Piano was a gift to Joan Miller from her father shortly before he passed away
As Sister Joan Miller sits down to the piano, she pauses and takes a deep breath.
Even at 86, her hands flutter along the keys of a special piano — the last gift her father gave her before he passed away.
“To a musician, music is not an adjunct. It’s essential to life. It’s essential to spiritual life. And this operated for me on both those levels.”
