KANSAS CITY – Things won’t fully shake out for the Toronto Blue Jays pitching staff for a few days yet as the potential for more subtractions remains, with Ken Giles still in play to some degree, even after the cortisone shot into his elbow, along with Daniel Hudson, too.
There’s still time for someone to make a push for Aaron Sanchez, too, but that’s far less expected at this point. There’s more action on the position player side, with Tampa Bay, Cleveland and Philadelphia the most serious of roughly five teams kicking tires on Justin Smoak, as colleague Ben Nicholson-Smith reported, along with interest from a handful of clubs on Freddy Galvis, as well.
