Masters Medals! Gold & Bronze at 2016 Championship
Team Saskatchewan brings home a Gold and Bronze Medal from the 2016 Canadian Masters Curling Championship!
The women’s team of Merle Kopach, Sylvia Johnson, Linda Delver and Trudy Dykes won the Canadian Masters Curling Championship with a 6-3 win over team Nova Scotia in Sunday final. After a tight battle in the early ends, team Saskatchewan took control with a score of three points in the 6th end and a steal of one in the 7th to secure their lead and eventual victory.

On the Men’s Side, the team of Eugene Hritzuk, Jim Wilson, Vern Anderson and Dave Folk, cruised through the round robin with an 8-2 record and fell in the semi-finals 6-4 to team Alberta. The team bounced back to win the bronze medal in convincing fashion with a score of 12-1 over team British Columbia.
