Chad Dorsett was Kindersley’s hero on Friday night as the Red Lions won in overtime to reach the semi finals of the 2016 SWHL Championships. Dorsett opened and closed the scoring as the Red Lions edged a close game 6-5 on Friday night. Kindersley looked to be sailing to another win with the score 4-1 after two periods. But the Mallards emptied the net and scored four in the third, including a last second equalizer from Kelsey Muench, temporarily putting a spanner in the works.
Kindersley finally took the win in a tight overtime period, 6 shots a piece was only decided with 12 seconds left on the clock as Chad Dorsett hit the winner, assisted by Jesse Ismond and Cousin Shayne Neigum. Kindersley now moves on to face the Biggar Nationals in the SWHL Playoffs. First game in Kindersley Thursday Feb 19th
