During this past summer, Heather Wall has been busy crocheting blankets for a very good cause.
She is donating them to the Cancer Centre in Saskatoon. Heather has created an organization called Visabre Angel Blankets. The letters in the name represent her three aunts, Vivian Burton, Sandra and Brenda Schoultz, who unfortunately lost their battle with the disease. Wall was inspired to create and donate these blankets after crocheting one for Vivian. She saw how it brought her peace and comfort and wanted others to feel the same. Each blanket will be received with a gift tag attached to let them know it was made from the heart, and will have an inspirational message.

Heather is encouraging people to donate knitted, crocheted, or fleece mittens, hats, and blankets in different colors to suit a wide range of recipients. She is also hoping to create some teddy bears for the children in the Cancer Centre at Christmas time. If you want to donate, but are unable to create something yourself, you can donate wool or other materials.
Contact Heather Wall at (306) 430-8100 for more information, or stop in at the Chamber of Commerce office at the Kindersley and District Plains Museum. “I would like these warriors to know that someone is thinking of them.”
