Junior Q2 Determines the Next Eight Teams

Four more Junior Women’s and Junior Men’s teams are headed to the Saskatoon Nutana Club for the Jiffy Lube Provincial Junior Championships from January 2-6, 2016.

Sixteen women’s teams competed in Q Spiel #2 at the Swift Current curling club from Nov 13-15, 2015. After completion of the triple knockout, teams led by Chaelynn Kitz, Rae Williamson, Kaitlyn Corbin and Hanna Anderson emerged with one of the coveted berths to the Provincials.   While all teams are under pressure to claim a spot, Team Corbin had an extra incentive to avoid the last chance Q Spiel #3. Kaitlyn is a member of Team Saskatchewan at the upcoming Travelers National Club Championships in Ottawa.  This means Kaitlyn can go enjoy her Canadian competition without worrying about her junior team.

The Junior Men’s side was equally as busy as sixteen teams started out the weekend seeking one of the four berths.  Emerging from the field were teams led by Shawn Vereschagin, Judd Dlouhy, Carson Ackerman and Chad Lang.
